How long will it take for my service to be installed and activated once I have completed the sign-up process?
The installation and activation process takes approximately five (5) business days from the time that you complete the final sign-up process. Remember that the final sign-up process occurs after the site survey has been completed and we have confirmed that you are in our current service coverage area.

When will I be contacted by COMTek to schedule the installation?
Once the sign-up process is complete, we will need to arrange for a COMTek Technician to visit your site to install the COMTek wireless customer premises equipment (CPE) and Internet connection software. The installation visit will be scheduled either during the final sign-up process by your customer service representative, or within 24 hours of completion of the sign-up process. Site installations take place Monday – Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm Mon- Fri.

What will the COMTek Technician do during the installation?
The COMTek Technician will:

1. Locate the best location for the wireless Subscriber Module (antenna)
2. Mount and position the Subscriber Module
3. Install a cable from the Subscriber Module to a new RJ-45 wall jack within your service location
4. Install a cable between your PC and the wall jack
5. Install the goCOMTek PPPoE software in your computer to activate access to the Internet
6. Verify that your service is activated and that you can connect to the Internet
7. Ask you to sign a service acceptance form that you have received our equipment and that the service is activated

The installer will mount your Subscriber Module on an outside wall, first-level roof, or other approved structure using standard roof/wall-mounting brackets. Your Subscriber Module will not be mounted on building materials that cannot support the product, such as stucco, aluminum, or vinyl siding.

How long after the installation will my service be activated?

Your service should be available as soon as the COMTek Technician installs the COMTek customer premises equipment and the goCOMTek PPPoE software.

If I move, can I relocate my COMTek Broadband Service?

Yes, if you are still in our wireless service coverage area. There may be additional fee required to install the new COMTek customer premises equipment at the new location.
